Boris/Pincher and Sturgeon/Grady

OK so I have been away on holiday for 2 weeks and have not been as up to speed with scottish goings-on as usual. So let me get this right.

Chris Pincher allegedly sexually assaults a staffer. Bozza and the top brass in the Conservatives cover it up, promote/protect Pincher and ignore the assaulted staffers. Other senior Conservatives call Boris out on it and it leads to his resignation.

Grady allegedly sexually assaults a staffer. Sturgeon and the top brass cover it up, hold a meeting to get MPs to support him, and then put the staffer through a disciplinary for trying to talk about it. The SNP close ranks and continue to support the alleged harasser.

Have I got that about right?

You’ve got it about right.

QueenWatevraWaNabi · 12/07/2022 09:34

Yep, that seems correct.

JudgeRindersMinder · 12/07/2022 09:36

Nail on the head

MajorCarolDanvers · 12/07/2022 09:40

Bang on correct.

The difference is though that it's possible for the Tories to be beaten in an election so Tory MOs have taken him out in the hope they can win the next election.

No matter what happens 45% will continue to vote SNP therefore they can do anything without worrying about pesky voters.

Brilliant summary

BinBandit · 12/07/2022 11:01

I thought Grady didn't "allegedly", I thought that he was found to have done it hence the 2 day suspension?

KnittingNeedles · 12/07/2022 11:27

Like I said, I'm not up to speed with all the details.

Would love to hear the nationalists defending Blackford and Sturgeon's handling of this. And how the actions they took were fine, whereas Boris deserves to hang for doing the same thing.

Sorry, knitting, yours was a great post. Was just adding that I think it's not even allegedly as I'm sure one of the committees found him "guilty" and hence the 2 day suspension that Blackford was telling everyone to support Grady over.

The faithful are just minimising Grady's actions and slurring the complainant - obviously they can't do any wrong. I hate the lot of them and I truly mean hate

Rainbowshit · 12/07/2022 12:31

Yep that's right.

You have to remember though. There's one rule for the SNP though and one for other parties. Just part of the nationalist hypocrisy.

KnittingNeedles · 12/07/2022 13:53

What I don't understand is why Anas Sarwar and Douglas Ross and whoever the LibDem person is currently aren't shouting LOUDLY and repeatedly about this.

There is a stranglehold on the media as Scotgov advertising is the biggest income for media in Scotland and strangely that income might disappear if they are too vocal. Any attempt at questioning she who must be obeyed in Holyrood is just shut down, it's honestly not easy. I have seen some clips of Sarwar and Ross having a go and it's just looks of disdain that comes from SNP side.

They don't give a shit about anyone's opinion, they don't give a shit about the people of scotland or their future, they only care about the cause and the massive chip on their shoulders. I mean, who cares if the people live in gross poverty etc when they can paint their face blue and shout freedom - freedom from what I'm not quite sure.

Marchmount · 12/07/2022 14:13

you forgot to mention and that the SNP then threaten the victim when he speaks up. Not even sure if one of the SNP faithful acolytes is going to defend this one. They’ll just ignore it and wait until it goes away because…….. nasty Westminster, Saint Nicola ad infinitum.
