Two nights away in Scotland- where to go

Going to Edinburgh tattoo in august but would like to go away somewhere within 3-4ht drive the two nights before. Anyone any recommendations? Spa or hot tub preferable but can live without!

What's your budget because Gleneagles and Cromlix are lovely but expensive.

Fife Arms and Fonab Castle, isle of Eriska and Glenapp Castle.

tende was somewhere small and boutique reviewed in the Tomes last week down past Ayr too/..

North Berwick - Archerfield or Greywalls.

Loch Lomond- Cameron House?

Where are you coming from and are you driving? Normally I'd suggest something in the Borders or East Lothian on the way to Edinburgh e.g. the Roxburghe or Greywalls but they will be booked up for festival. If travelling up the West coast Cameron House. In reality 3 to 4 hours from Edinburgh could get you to Aberdeen!

Seamill hydro in Ayrshire is fantastic, or there are some fab spa hotels in Glasgow. The blythswood is 10/10 x
