New homes - Robroyston

Hi,

Does anyone live in the new builds near Auchinleck Rd? I don't know the area at all but am tempted by a new build. We're currently in the west of Glasgow in a 30s semi. The house we saw in Robroyston is a detached 4 bed for about the same price (400k). Schools not an issue so just wondering about general amenities, walks etc. any help would be appreciated!

I know someone who lives here. I don't know anything about the area but don't like the.. estate? Just feels like loads of houses crammed in. Bits with no pavements and it's like a weird maze. I don't like it... 🤷‍♀️

Ah thanks, I kind of thought that might be the case. I suppose you get kore house for the money but comes at the cost of cafes/shops etc

I live in one. Very quiet, house is spacious and apart from usual temporary construction traffic not much to complain about from me. Robroyston and Bishopbriggs retail parks nearby, not much in the way of cafes though. New train station across from the retail park, I'm hoping they build a more convenient access path from the estate soon though as it's a good 45 min walk.

Hi all, hope all is well. Following this thread now to see if there is any update to the new build sites in this area. We are looking at visiting the DWH Bellway Barratts and TW new builds in this area. Wondering what would be difference between the developers. I see in google map that there is still probably no access path to train station.
