My mum will turn 60 this summer. Planning to go away as a family later in the year but for the weekend itself it will be me, my mum and my dad will probably feature at some point!

Im looking for -

Restaurant recommendations (ideally west end but open minded)
Things to do

I was potentially thinking of a spa day at blythswood and getting my dad to meet us later for dinner but just an initial thought. Ideas welcome!

Also not confined to Glasgow if anyone thinks of something great outside the city. She doesn't want a party.

The blytheswood spa is great, I love it. What about Cail Bruaich for dinner? Booked out for months though so you'd need to check. I also love the Ubiquitous Chip and The Bothy.

Unalome is gorgeous for food.

I love Blythswood spa for a treat.

Crabshak, Cali Bruiach, Six by Nico and Five March are all firm favourites.

The Butchershop is my go-to for an occasion but you'd have to be meat eaters. The Gannet is also lovely, in the same area.

Cameron House is not long reopened and is looking stunning, not been to restaurant since it has reopened but have had afternoon tea and it was lovely.

Ox and Finch is superb... Martin Wishart at Cameron House was excellent before the fire and refurb... haven't been since... Blythswood great for spa, afternoon tea and/ or cocktails...

PS I've never rated the Cameron House spa though... layout not quite right ( why on earth do you access the much promoted rooftop spa by leaving the lovely thermal suite and heading up what feels like an office staircase and corridor?) and the service has never quite hit the spot. likewise I feel that service in the hotel in general has never been fully 5 star...
