I’m a full time student and I had questions like “Have you ever worked?” and “Would you be able to start work in the next two weeks?”

I might have got exact wording wrong but this was the general gist of it. I was a bit taken aback!

Mine was more of a auntie trying to interrogate me about dating.

• Are you single?
• Does anyone else live with you?
• Does anyone occasionally stay with you?
• Is anyone staying overnight with you?
• Are you sure that you are the only one in your house?

Dire!

Don't worry, it's not as sinister as it sounds! It's to measure hidden unemployment, people who are not claiming/ entitled to benefits, but are seeking work. It gives a better representation of the true picture than the DWP figures.
