Move to Perth and kinross

Hi, me and my husband are hoping to relocate to Perth from Glasgow early next year. I'm keen to hear about semi rural areas that people recommend. I'll be working in Perth City centre and my husband is home based so I'm not too worried about a commute but preferably no more than 45 mins each way.
Thanks

I really like Crieff or further north up to Dunkeld. What sorts of facilities are you wanting for it to be semi-rural?

Hopefully someone who knows the surrounding villages better will be along soon!

Thanks so much for replying, we have no kids so schools aren't an issue. Just a shop/supermarket is all we really need. My hibbie does munros every weekend so he can always get any extra shopping in from a supermarket.
I looked at Dunkeld and scone, will keep looking at the surrounding areas. A wee bungalow on the outskirts of perth would be amazing!"

Kinross, Milnathort, Kinnesswood and even Glenfarg would be worth a look. 20 minutes from Perth and easy access to the motorway.

Stanley is just North of Perth and has decent property.

Pitlochry or Dunkeld

What about dunning or auchterarder

We made the move last year (but from England). Very happy in Auchterarder.

We also liked Crieff, I think it's prettier than Auchterarder, but interestingly there's been lots of comments recently about vandalism and other minor crime on a Crieff forum I'm on.

Auchterarder is really friendly and tbh you can do just about all your shopping in town with the odd visit to Perth or Crieff.

When we were looking, I loved Pitlochry and Dunkeld, but there was very little on the market at the time, so we made a pragmatic decision which had turned out really well. Best of luck.

We've also just moved to Auchterarder, it's a beautiful place and people seem lovely so far. Perth is great for shopping, eating out etc. Is that where you guy's would be staying?
