Has anyone been recently to the Glasgow Science Centre - are lots of exhibits unavailable due to covid restrictions?

Not been since covid and wondering about it for half term but worried lots of the hands on displays will be closed.

All open when we were there just before Cop26. Just a few things not open but think cause broken rather than covid.

Most things were open in the October holidays. They close the under 7s area every so often for cleaning so check it out in advance.

The under 7s area was completely closed in the summer (sand and water etc) but everything else was open, including planetarium.

That’s great to know, think we’ll go. Thanks for replying!

Does anyone know if they are doing the annual pass again? We used to go all the time but haven't been back since covid.

Tiredoftiers · 24/01/2022 22:30

I think so, ours had run out when we went In October. And I was going to renew but was told they would be closed over Cop so to just buy one when they reopened. Haven’t been back since though

Old passes were extended due to closures. Ours expired at the end of last year, and when i went to buy a new one a few weeks ago they said they were suspending the annual passes for the time being, so i don't think you can get one at the moment. Im hoping they bring them back soon.

I hadn't realised that, probably puts me off going to be honest. Guess it became an admin nightmare with the open/ shut nature of the last 2 years.
