Hi everyone,

I am hoping you can help as I've been looking for days and can't find a holiday home that ticks my boxes.

Area - anyplace in Scotland
House - ideally big in size, clean, modern a little bit luxury. hot tub, log burner, games room or pool/snooker table. Sleeps 7 min.

Budget - £1.5/£2K we can go for 1 or 2 weeks.

Does such a thing exist ?

Thanks very much

I've heard Piperdam is lovely, although I've not visited personally. They have a few lodges that might suit you.

ApolloandDaphne · 18/01/2022 17:10

When do you want to go?

zafferana · 18/01/2022 17:12

That's quite a low budget for such a big place with luxuries like a hot tub. I just googled 'rental house Scotland + hot tub' and it brought up quite a lot of links, but the ones I clicked on were around £2-3k a week for the size/amenities you want.

StarryNightSparkles · 18/01/2022 17:16

@ApolloandDaphne

When do you want to go?
Sorry I knew that I had forgotten something. Yes dates would be helpful. Anytime from the 13th of May.

Not Scotland but centre parcs (Whinfell forest in North Cumbria will be the closest) do 4 bedroom lodges with hot tub and/or pool table rooms. But they're expensive - the one with hot tub and games room is showing as £2299 for 4 nights on 16th May!! That's the most expensive lodge though.

StarryNightSparkles · 22/01/2022 02:31

Wow that's a big price for 4 nights Emma. Thanks justcash, curly and cats mum will have a look at those places.

I have stayed in Piperdam and wouldn't consider it luxury. On that budget though I doubt you will find luxury, pleasant perhaps. Try airbnb. www.solidluxury.co.uk are decent too.

Realmayowitheggs · 22/01/2022 16:49

May be not big enough

Realmayowitheggs · 22/01/2022 16:58

banchory

MrsAmaretto · 22/01/2022 21:57

I don’t think you will get all that in May, it’s classed as peak season, and definitely not for 2 weeks! Have a look at forestholidays to get an idea of what sort of budget you require for 3 beds and a hot tub. Scotland is similar self catering prices to North Norfolk, Devon and Cornwall.

ElephantOfRisk · 22/01/2022 23:19

More traditional than modern and doesn't mention a pool table but you can see a bit of one in one of the photos:
