Hi can anyone tell me if the current roadworks around the Edinburgh Playhouse are restricting access to the Omni car park? Google
Maps showing several roads closed. Thank you.

No, you can enter and leave the carpark as usual from Leith Street. If you are coming from the South you need to be aware that North Bridge is closed northbound.

Thank you! We will be coming in from the North Smile

If you are coming along Queen St it is slightly tricky to get to Leith Street (if things are the same as they were a week or so ago). You can't get directly to Leith St, you go up Leith Walk a little bit then you can cut back over the tram line and go past the Playhouse to get to the roundabout (that sounds more difficult than it is. Apple Maps if your friend if you have it, it seems up to date.

There was something on local radio traffic news this morning about the layout having changed from today.....I think it was no turn onto Queen Street / Broughton Street west bound if you're coming from London Road / Leith Walk and instead you'll have to head north down Leith Walk on a divert, but don't quote me on that as I was only half listening because I avoid that area in the car at all costs! If you're coming from the north I'd serious consider doing park & ride from Ingliston and get the tram to York Place.

Well then probably you should ignore everything I've said, but if you can get to Leith St you can get into the car park. I only approach from the south or along Leith Walk.

I think this is what you need although if you can read the details on the traffic management plan pdf you're doing better than me! www.edinburgh.gov.uk/tramstonewhaven/news/article/270/notification-of-site-extension-from-picardy-place-to-york-place

I'm looking forward to the tram going to and from Leith but my goodness it's a pain while the works are going on.

Hi thank you. We are staying nearby for a few nights so definitely want to park at the Omni. Smile
