Scottish removal companies - England to Scotland

Hello, does anyone have any recommendations and rough idea of costs for a removal company that could ship us from south of England to central Scotland? I'm thinking it would be better/cheaper to get a Scottish company, but appreciate that perhaps most national companies will have a Scottish base. We've recently moved from overseas so I'm not too familiar with any of the big names.
Many thanks

We did it the other way (Scotland to south of England). My recommendation would be to use a national company, ideally with depots reasonably close to your start and end points to have a good chance of them picking up a backload which will cut your costs.

We used GB Liners (about 5 years ago now) and found them excellent. You’ll probably be looking at a 3 day move. As there was a depot close to our new house, the load went down with just a driver and then a couple of guys came across from the depot to help unload.

Long time ago but we ended up with Pickfords. They were best value. And actually were very flexible when we had a nightmare delay in getting keys😬

Also, try to get three quotes if you can.

Thanks @TheAbbotOfUnreason, very useful tips about finding close depots.

Oh, thanks @Littleelffriend. Have you had good experience with them?

@BanksiaRose I used to work for them they’re extremely professional

We used GB Liners to move within Aberdeenshire, that depot at least were very good. They have depots around the UK.
The Shore Porters are very well known up here and I know a few people who have done long distance moves with them. I don't know if they have a central belt base.
