What's Dennistoun, Glasgow like to live in?

I was raised in Dennistoun before we moved to East Dunbartonshire. I'm probably going to be moving to England in the next year or so but part of me misses Dennistoun and is considering spending some time there before I move.

I've visited it recently but of course living there is a very different experience.

I loved it as a child. I loved the sense of community there. Being so close to dozens of shops on Alexandra Parade. We knew all of the shopkeepers. I loved being so close to the city centre. I was never really bored.

Of course it's not going to be the way it was 25 years ago but I find myself craving it.

I'd appreciate any recent experiences/thoughts on the place.

TIA

The only place on the parade worth visiting is Celinos.

Ex-MIL lives there. I hate the place, dirty hell-hole.
