Glasgow restaurants?

Happy new year all!
DH and I (Edinburgh based) are spending Saturday night in Glasgow. I grew up just outside Glasgow but haven't been out there for ages.
Fancy somewhere mid-priced (so not Cail Bruich's £75 tasting menu). Have eaten in the Gannet, Chip, Bothy, Stravagin. And recommendations?

I would try Number 16 in Byres Road or the Gandolfi in the Merchant City.

I was going to suggest Sisters but I see it closed 2 years ago!

Ox and Finch?

Ox and Finch is great.
Also what about 5 March?

The anchor line in town has a real buzz and nice food and cocktails.
Sylvan is lovely veggie/vegan www.sylvanglasgow.com/

I've heard good things about 5 March.
I love The Butchershop but it's on the expensive side.
Topolabamba is our go-to less pricey restaurant in town. Atlantic Brasserie is nice too and a bit more classic.

Red Onion. A Glasgow classic.

Haudyourwheesht · 02/01/2022 17:26

Oh yes. Another vote for Red Onion.

We liked 5 March. Alchemilla is amazing.

We ended up booking Ka Pao on Byres Rd! Lots of the others were full. Planning to go to 5 March for cocktails after. Thanks all!

Came on to say Ka Pao! Last time I was in Ox & Finch there was a mouse running around, and the staff seemed utterly nonplussed by it… Five March is lovely for drinks, and walking distance to Chinaskis for a couple afterwards. Enjoy!
