Never been pinged

I have been working in hospitals since the beginning of the pandemic - full time and patient facing. Yet I have never been pinged! Starting to think the app doesn’t even work! I don’t even bother to turn it off because I never get pinged anyway! Yes, Bluetooth is always enabled.

I'm in social care, always around folk. Never been pinged once!

Dh put his code in on Boxing Day, ds dis it on the 27th... been pinged both times.

I'm a teacher in a large inner city secondary school and I've never been pinged. I honestly think getting covid or not is purely down to luck.

Probably because I've never had the app.

Quite stunned that DH had his first ping on Boxing Day, as he's a police officer. He's been in and out of people's homes, interviewed people, queued for custody in police cars with suspects. It's just gone round his office and apparently someone they interviewed had to be tracked down.

Also miraculously we had his parents and mine here for hours on Christmas Day, DH, me and DS tested positive a couple of days later but none of our parents have.

It seems much more random than before. Pre vaccine it was a given that if you were a contact you'd probably get it, but not any more.

I got my first ping on Christmas Eve (hadn't even realised I still had the app). We had been to a local attraction that day so probably where it came from. Myself and one of my children (who was with me that day) had temp and sickness on Xmas day/Boxing Day. Didn't think anything of it, all LFT were neg. other child (who wasn't with us that day) got symptoms NYE and tested pos. other child also tested pos on PCR but T&T took their date from Xmas when they'd been slightly unwell.
