Glasgow PCR test results timings

Hi, any idea how long test results are taking to come back just now please? Any chance that a test done late this afternoon would be back by early tomorrow morning?

I know a lot of people who have had pcr recently, due to an outbreak. Afternoon tests have generally been coming back mid morning the next day.

Had one last week in East End of Glasgow. Done 9am and results came through 7.40am next day x

AM test back late at night same day.
They don’t send texts out after a certain time at night, or before a time in the morning. They email overnight and send the text next day.

Dh and I took PCR tests at 1.15 yesterday afternoon at a drive through centre. I got my results through by 18.30 last night but dh's only came through this morning at 7.30. Both positive

My dad (who I saw on Wednesday) took his test at 7.40 last night but has had to make the decision (along with my brother, who is over from France) not to go to a funeral today unless the results come through quickly

Now been waiting over 24h for toddler coughing all night to get a result. Done at drive thru at 8am yesterday, no results for him or DH. I'm supposed to be heading down to London for the weekend and my pre event LFT is negative, as is the LFT DH took just after his PCR (employer wanted to know as DH has some very close contacts).

House is crazy- 6 yo and 3 yo screeching the place down.

Longest ever wait!

My dad and brother's results came through at 10am. Both negative

Come through 27 after drive through. Both negative. Big relief as was expecting a visit to a&efor concussion/broken limb from the combined craziness

Thanks everyone! 4.30pm test yesterday, results back at 7.15am this morning 🙂 (negative as expected). Seems like it’s luck of the draw with wait times!
