Wanker, seconded, obvs, before my posts look like I have some kind of respect for him.
ElephantOfRisk · 11/11/2021 12:50

Oh definitely a smell of turnip and maybe cabbage and wet dog as well. No insult intended.....to dogs Grin

WouldBeGood · 11/11/2021 15:00

I’m laughing about the SNP MPs not only getting steaming on the plane but also wearing (gasp!) British Army gear. The world is just so mad

yep. Especially galling as they've banned ordinary punters from drinking on the trains.

To be honest it isn't something I've done often, but I have had the odd wine when heading off on the train for a weekend away.

WouldBeGood · 11/11/2021 15:11

I like wee drink on the train but have never had to be wheelchaired off as so drunk 🤣. DS says I’ve failed ..

All the responses to that I've seen have been to talk about Tory sleaze, as if the fact that there is sleaze in other parties excuses them from anything else. Honestly, they are working and representing their constituents even while travelling on official businesses, can't they just bloody control themselves? If I behaved like that on the way to a work event, even if it was on my own time, I'd wind up either sacked or reprimanded.

titsintiers · 11/11/2021 16:45

I've had a few mental health moments after too many aftershocks........🤪

casinoroyale4ever · 11/11/2021 19:24

'Argumentative when their covid documents were queried'

Are politicians so deprived of boozing opportunities that they have to get drunk on a flight to a work gig?

alicesfavouritepen · 11/11/2021 20:49

Why would she not be invited? She looked pretty welcome I thought! Certainly more so than Boris who I'm here to rail about again. Why is he allowed to open his mouth? Why must be continually embarrass us on a world stage 😣. Did anyone even ask if Britain was corrupt at the COP or was it just a random defensive outburst. It's beyond cringeworthy. I can't cope with him.

runningpink · 11/11/2021 20:50

@Scottishskifun how strict are they with the no bag policy at Murrayfield?

Wondering if I could sneak one under my jacket or something if need be. Nothing too big but just something to hold some extra layers and gloves/hat. I will be walking a few miles to get to the game so don’t want to layer up beforehand as will be too hot.

They were very strict for people who don't have a letter or with children, you go to a separate line to have it checked as well. Annoyingly sporrans don't count however Hmm

It can get pretty toasty once sat down as your pretty close to everyone and it's not due to be too cold (about 10ish)Tights under jeans helps 😊

Scottishskifun · 11/11/2021 22:46

If it was completely hidden by your coat and flush to you then you would probably be OK but yep it's bonkers now!
They don't pad you down though!

runningpink · 12/11/2021 06:02

Thanks @Scottishskifun for the information really helpful

Scottishskifun · 12/11/2021 20:25

Enjoy the game @runningpink honestly once your in the stands everything feels pretty normal which for me is pretty great!
I think it's the most normal I have felt going to anything in Scotland for a long while despite the vax requirements (weren't checked last week!) etc.

runningpink · 12/11/2021 20:43

Thank you! It’s actually next weeks game that I’m going to do still got a week to wait!
Too feel normal would be amazing though!

WouldBeGood · 13/11/2021 07:55

I’m railing against lockdowns starting again in various countries despite the fact it’s clear stricter measures don’t work.

And sleazy politicians: Douglas Ross the latest to have “forgotten” to declare £30k of income 🙄

OP posts:
MaxNormal · 13/11/2021 08:33

Indeed. I thought lockdowns were till the vaccines arrived. If we're having them post vaccine rollout then they're going to be a permanent feature.

Lockdownbear · 13/11/2021 08:46

Countries can't afford to keep having lockdowns.
It just shows that BJ got it right remove restrictions in summer allowing people to build natural immunity.

Right at the beginning I said it will be years before we can say who got it right.
We are definitely at the point where we need to get on with living.

It's really not right that our young people moving from school to college and uni are being restricted from meeting class mates and unable to form new friendships. Very often school friendships falter as kids go different ways.
Remember a lot of school leavers are just 17 so unable to met in pubs and clubs too.

The counties talking about lockdowns are there colleges and unis effectively still in lockdown?

WouldBeGood · 13/11/2021 09:14

Looks like unvaccinated people in Austria will only be allowed to leave home once a day for essential supplies. It’s fucking unbelievable. And back to pretty much lockdown in the Netherlands. I’ll try to link

In Tenerife where we are now, there’s reporting about increased cases.
They have said that 10% are from holiday makers mainly UK & Germany ones. The 90% are from residents, been a slowdown on vaccine uptake.
Muttering about testing 2 days before entering the country.

Bars & restos not asking for vaccine proof, very laid back and lovely compared to us.

ecceromani · 13/11/2021 10:27

I wonder if other countries are just being hit hard now by the super infectious delta varian.
We were "fortunate" in uk that it hit us during the summer months
