Day trips from Glasgow?

Visiting a friend soon- I know I could google but I would rather get personal recommendations.
Have already seen Loch Lomond a few times. I’ll have a car and friend will be working sometimes.

Edinburgh? Easy to either drive or jump on The train loads to do, obviously depending what kinda day trip your after.

Rothesay/Isle of Bute. Mount Stuart house is amazing (but check what's open off season). Plenty of nice walks, beaches etc if the weather is ok.

I going to do today?!’ That has loads of great recommendations for Glasgow and central belt. People tend to post if events are on too.

Ah… Isle of Bute.. meant to do this before. I’ll look up where to depart from re boat etc

Kelpies, Falkirk wheel, forth bridges are all a good day out easy reached from Glasgow

Drive to Helensburgh and visit Hill House.
