We will have a day to spend in Glasgow , helping the younger generation with transport /costs

What should we do? We are normally outdoor people with more interest in history than shopping
Must do/see?
Best shopping and eating areas?
Park and ride from south east ?

Thanks for any help

If you like history then Kelvingrove (get the underground there from the city centre), the Tenement house museum, Riverside museum, Glasgow cathedral, the hop on/off bus tour is quite informative.
Sauchiehall Street, West Nile Street, Argyll Street area for high street stores.

If coming from South East - park at Shields Road Subway and then use the subway to get around. Kelvingrove is good and free but I think you need to book. That's also not far from Botanic Gardens and Kelvingrove Park itself is also lovely. Lots of places to eat in the West End near there.

Not sure what the Tenement House is like - always meant to go to it but never have and haven't been in the Riverside Museum but hear it is good. It's also close to the Tall Ship Glen Lee and to the Finnieston Crane but not sure if either are open.

You might find this interesting if history is your thing ?

Another vote for the Kelvingrove. I also enjoyed the People's Palace, but I'm not sure if it's open currently.

You may not have to book any more - I was in Edinburgh last week, and they cancelled my pre-booked slot at the National Museum, which upset me till I read the mail properly and saw it was because they've stopped bookings, and I could still go. So check the websites.
