Can anyone recommended things to do in the area? Places roundabout that are worth a visit? 😊 Nice places to eat outwith the resort but not too far away? Have a baby with us so all pram friendly activities please 😊

Have a stay at Piperdam coming up (rescheduled from last year) - we were really looking forward to it but TripAdvisor reviews over the last few months have been pretty horrific so we’re not holding out much hope 😬 Would lose the money if we cancel so going to go and use it as a base to explore things in the area hopefully 🤞🏼

It's been at least ten years since I've been but we had two lovely holidays there. The swimming pool was really nice when we went.
We did an afternoon out at Camperdown park and there was a Deer Centre about an hour's drive away where you could feed the deer. I think they had wolves too.
Sorry that my info is a bit dated. I hope you have a good time.
Most people only review if they want to moan about something. 🙂

@Neeko I am hoping that there’s just been an influx of moaners but I’ve very much lowered my expectations so hopefully I’ll be pleasantly surprised 😬🤣 I’m sure we’ll still have a lovely time either way! Will definitely have a look at the places you’ve mentioned!

V and A Verdant works Discovery point (don't think you'll get pram on the boat) Camperdown Beach at broughty ferry

Go across to fife for the day. St Andrew's or as a op has said, the Scottish deer
Centre at Cupar

Loads to do

RossIsTheBestFriend · 07/09/2021 17:28

@Bloodypunkrockers St Andrew is definitely in the plan - we love it there 😊 will have a look at the deer centre also! Thanks for the other suggestions! Will have a look 😊

The deer centre changed hands recently and I've been told it's much improved so if you're going to Fife I agree it should be worth a visit.

Bridgeview Station Restaurant on Riverside, Dundee might be a good place to have lunch. The food is good and it's roomy and no steps, and easy parking.

@naturealwayswins Ohh that’s good to know 😊 thanks for the recommendations 😊

The Pinecone Cafe is lovely, and its on the road from Piperdam to Camperdown, off to the left.
