Clearly all the leaders of our dear nation have been taking notes from each other. Just saw this on the DM home page:

Boris says it is 'not my job to fix all of the UK's problems': PM’s astonishing claim as he denies nation is in 'crisis' and dismisses inflation spike fears, fuel shortages and empty supermarket shelves as 'just part of his new approach'.

The poor love, has he forgotten that he's meant to be the PRIME MINISTER again?!?! The sooner they all fuck off and leave space for a new generation the better. Although that may lead to decades of wrangling about what is a woman while the NHS and other public services grind to a halt.

Maybe I'll just emigrate to Europ - oh, wait.

Scottishskifun · 05/10/2021 16:04

@BlameItOnTheBlackStar 😂 and Borris look at me look at me tactic strikes (and works!) again!

Usually when he comes out with an inflammatory statement or one he knows will send media and twitter into a spin its because he's trying to distract all the attention away from whatever it is he doesn't want them to focus on.

He's actually very good at it and not the baffoon he will lead you to believe!

BlameItOnTheBlackStar · 05/10/2021 16:23

Oh I don't think he's a buffoon. I think he's a fucking cold-blooded psychopath.

sartorius · 05/10/2021 16:26

He's probably just fathered another love childGrin

titsintiers · 05/10/2021 16:34

He must have mad skillz cause it ain't the looks or personality

WouldBeGood · 05/10/2021 16:37

He really is a vile individual.

I’d like to move to Europe too 🥲

BlameItOnTheBlackStar · 05/10/2021 16:47

I actually talked with DH about moving to Ireland, but when it comes to 'what's a woman again' they're no better than we are.

WouldBeGood · 05/10/2021 16:54

No. It’s quite depressing.

I’m kind of accepting they’re all shit but would prefer better weather, cheap wine, and no debates on any constitutional issues 🤣

BlameItOnTheBlackStar · 05/10/2021 16:54

@sartorius

He's probably just fathered another love childGrin
Well he's got a wife which means there's a vacancy...
Scottishskifun · 05/10/2021 17:29

😂 I think most politicians are!

Usually when he does this there is about to be a scandal somewhere else. So a few days ago with the thatcher comments there was a tory peer accused of something but it didn't really hit the headlines because of the thatcher comment which did.
This time I'm not sure as the wealth leaks have been a few days now so either something else or hiding a property link etc.

Scottishskifun · 05/10/2021 17:29

Sorry few weeks ago with the thatcher comments not days!

ssd · 05/10/2021 17:33

@KingsleyShacklebolt

And meant to add - my parents absolutely would be going to dementia chat groups, or helping out at school, or planting up baskets if they were allowed to do so.

But they are not.

That is so utterly shite for them.
ssd · 05/10/2021 17:34

Anybody seen the clip with Jacob Rees Mogg talking the the man in the wheelchair?

Tailendofsummer · 05/10/2021 18:14

So can I ask are the Greens in Scotland as clueless about women's rights as Labour appear to be?

WouldBeGood · 05/10/2021 18:20

@Tailendofsummer are you serious? The Scottish Greens are at the cutting edge of misogyny and TWAW stuff: it’s their raison d’etre now

Coquohvan · 05/10/2021 18:34

@dancemom your a 🌟 looking good our r number is coming down

Politicians in the main not all are “how will this benefit me in future” titles, directorships, speaking fees, book deals etc NS & BJ et all are no exception.
Although credit to BJ he backed a lame horse with the vaccine no guarantees it would work & buying in other countries vaccines quickly, his gamble massively came in, which I am grateful for. Credit to MH (not for his cheating) for his sharpness in UK contract clause where we received ours promptly. I remember Ursula Von deer Leyen’s melt down about it.
Until they prove themselves, not talk the talk I’m sceptical.

Tailendofsummer · 05/10/2021 19:01

Oops! Thank you. They're off the list then.

Thanks @dancemom I get the feeling we will sit around this point from now on as it getting colder and probably increase during holidays and Christmas periods!

ElephantOfRisk · 07/10/2021 15:36

@Scottishskifun

Thanks *@dancemom* I get the feeling we will sit around this point from now on as it getting colder and probably increase during holidays and Christmas periods!
Remember this time last year we were getting into banned guising, individual tattie spoons and 2m crackers and granny and grandad eating their Christmas dinner out on the patio. This year we just have to worry about the lack of Turkey and sprouts...
sartorius · 07/10/2021 15:43

Oh god yes ELEPHANT
The banned guising!!!
Now I'm living my life fairly normally with a face mask on
it's amazing how quickly I'd forgotten all that crap from last autumn Confused

Scottishskifun · 07/10/2021 16:03

@elephantofrisk let's just hope the craziness doesn't come back!

We will be doing Christmas with family regardless of what they say. Having lost DHs grandfather and father this year (not to covid) I'm never again paying attention to "its difficult but for the greater good" shite. We missed their last Christmas with them and its not something we will ever be able to get back.

ElephantOfRisk · 07/10/2021 16:10

Really sorry to hear that @Scottishskifun. We always have Christmas on our own anyway (neither of us has any living parents) so it wasn't really too much of a hardship for us personally. But although "it's just a day", it's a day that people put a lot of importance on for memories and time spent with loved ones, also loving that retail is increasingly choosing to shut on the 26th. DH (NHS) hates if he works the 26th as although we aren't big drinkers, it means not sitting with a few glasses of wine watching a movie for him as he has to drive and would never risk being over the limit.

WouldBeGood · 07/10/2021 16:12

Just me that’s hoping for another ban on family Christmas then..? 😃
