Question about school close contacts

I have a questions. Hope someone can advise as I have looked online and can't find the info. My DD is in p7. A girl she sits next to in class has had a positive lateral flow test tonight. The girl's mum is keeping her off school tomorrow and taking her for a PCR. Should I keep my DD off tomorrow and book a test? Don't know what close contacts are anymore. Thanks

What has the school said? Although I think its test and protect that deals with school infections now.

I'd wait until the other child has it confirmed with a PCR. That will start the contact tracing and you will likely be told what to do I.e. get PCR to release from isolation

I haven't heard from the school. The dad told me tonight personally (he's a neighbour).

Children in schools are only required to self isolate if they've been a very close contact (sibling, sleepover, bf/gf), unless they themselves develop symptoms.
