Scottish COVID Test Slots

I'm not sure if anyone really knows, but if anyone does.... it will be one of you guys. What time do COVID testing slots get released for the next day??

You should be able to book for the next day. On the screen where it says no available slots, there is a hyperlink which says Next Day or similar.

Our local site ran out of tests today and they closed it so it's not showing at all I'm waiting to see if it shows up soon for tomorrow's slots

Hopefully there is nothing to be read into your local centre running out of tests (says mother of a 17 year old who’s been back in school for 1 week and tested positive tonight )

I got a test no bother yesterday for DD. She called me from school at around 11 to say her friend had tested positive, I had a slot at out nearest testing centre for 3.30pm the same day. There was plenty of availability further away too.

I think it depends on areas. 3pm onwards yesterday our closest was 40 miles away. Managed to get one locally this morning and they said they're mobbed.

It was very quiet when we visited (outskirts of Glasgow). Lots of staff standing around doing very little.

Maybe larger centres are busier?

Phone 119 and ask them, my boyfriend struggled to get a slot I managed fine as did my kids but they were very helpful

@TheGenealogist We are Helensburgh. A friend was told today there's a shortage of tests Scotland wide. We are just waiting for the results now

Alloa/Stirling have no shortage......and very little customers!

Annoyed that others are getting Glasgow based slots when we’ve been cancelled today and shunted over to Cumbernauld. Don’t mind travelling but waiting nearly 2 days is crap.

I think a lot of the smaller pop up sites are closing soon - quite a few near me are closing on 31st August if not before.

DD had her test about 3.45 pm yesterday, result came in at 12.20 this afternoon.

I would imagine there are thousands of teenagers being tested by parents who are desperate to keep their kids in school at all costs.
