Day 2 test in Scotland

Hi

I can't find this info on the CMT portal / website, it's for my parents who'll be returning to Scotland from France in September.

Are the Day 2 Tests posted to their home address?
When will they arrive and will they have to be home to sign for them? (They usually stay the first night back with my aunt as that's where they leave their car, it's a late flight and they live rurally / far from the airport)
How do they send them back for processing? Will they be collected or do they have to take them to the post office?

Thanks for any info from those that have already done this.

just got delivered to the house, didn't need signed for but i now can't remember whether they fitted through the letterbox. def didn't fit through postbox, they need to be posted back via specific post offices/sorting offices i think.

Are you (they) worried about being fined for not travelling straight home to self isolate, is that what the issue is?

They don’t have to isolate - they’re fully vaccinated. Just have to do the day 2 test. I thought I’d read somewhere that it was couriered and they’d have to sign for it, and if they stayed overnight at my aunts they might miss the delivery (48 hour window starting at their arrival time in Scotland).
