Did you notice if they are all open or if like every other one is open?

I was in a couple of weeks ago and they were all just open. This was in M&S and House of Fraser.

I volunteer in a charity shop and ours is still closed. We have been told by the charity retail association that it needs to be sprayed, wiped and sanitised after anyone uses it. We just haven't got the staff/volunteer numbers to be able to do that so it remains closed.

Causing all sorts of issues too as we have a lot of vintage stock in the store at the moment and people really need to try it.

SO frustrating.

I felt safe in John Lewis. In Edinburgh, not every room was open. It was every second one plus staff went in and wiped down the hanging rails and the call button between customer. Took a few minutes to get in but nothing to put me off waiting to try clothes on at all.

The evidence is that there is very little risk of virus transmission from hard surfaces. I work in libraries and we have stopped quarantining returned items and have resumed lending of DVDs and CDs

GoWalkabout · 03/08/2021 12:52

Surface transmission won't be a risk to you, there will be a barrier between you and the next person, and you are unlikely to be in the confined area adjacent to any other person for 15 minutes therefore this presents as a very low risk activity. I would ease yourself in and you will start to feel more confident about it soon, good luck.

It felt the same as being in the shop Smile
