We still have our bloody winter duvet on our bed. I just said to DH I only want a sheet on tonight.

Away you all go. It’s drench and freezing 51 weeks of the year, let us lizards enjoy our one week of heat. I’m only sleep in g with one duvet this week, usually I have two

I’m really struggling in this heat.
I still managed to burn my legs even with sun cream on.
I can’t get a thing done except eat my body weight in ice cream!

Poor Dd goes from blue to red and back to blue.
I found an old photo of me and her Dad the other day, both of us with lovely tans.
God knows who's skin she got!

It's at this time of year that my draughty, high ceilinged house with thick stone walls comes into its own, no need for air con here! Lest i sound smug, we freeze all winter.

Dd said that about her last flat.

DH is out and I keep shouting over to DS 'why is it so hot'. He does not know and is now very irritated with me.

24 in west Fife today but I swear it's been 27+
28 week preg and looking ill cos it's just that bit too hot for me to enjoy it I can't get any colour in my skin
I'm sat looking like that Marshmallow Man with a chair at the door begging it to cool down

I hate the hot weather !
Bring back the nice cool / rainy days.

Hate this heat. Just can't tolerate it. Dog walking done before 9am.

Loving the sun but only when I can sit in the shade and look at it or get in the sea for a swim. And when sitting on my decking with a gin and tonic

I've actually snoozed some Scottish travel Facebook pages and some friends who are of to Highland beach holidays as we can't get away due to DHs work and I don't want FOMO from seeing people enjoying that rare and almost mythical event of the Scottish holiday with lovely weather. I dont want to see lots of pics captioned "it's just like the Caribbean".
My total for three years is 6 nights away and a day trip to Kingussie!

We've had loads of sunny days here @sweetkitty! I think it's been a good summer so far. Can't believe you use two duvets normally!! Lol

But today is just toooo much.
Sons bedroom is 24 deg. It's 9pm and 22deg outside. I know I'm not Gona sleep tonight!

Might have to have a cool shower before bed actually.

@Wbeezer oof that's tough. We had our honeymoon 2018 and that was our last holiday abroad and haven't been away either except a long weekend in Oxford :s

Pregnant again and I can't be doing with the faff of taking little ones away anywhere abroad so no hols for us for the next 1 or 2 years probably.

This thread has just made me rewatch farmer Jim it's so hot sketch again. That sums up DH today here!

I live on the east coast of Scotland. It is usually beautifully cool at all times. The last few days have been like living on the edge of hell. I am wearing minimal clothing. It is TOO HOT.

Yep I'm also east coast. I'm in Montrose!

Oh that's close to where I was swimming- Lunan Bay. It was coooold today but loads of folk were in the water regardless.

It definitely rids me of that horrible lethargy I get from the hot weather.

I think I've melted the elastic on my bra just from radiating heat.

I'm loving it, straight out on my Lounger when I come home from work. Total utter bliss lying in the sun as it reminds me of foreign holidays which are now a distant memory.
Hoping it lasts for a good few weeks, my tan is coming along nicely
