Swimming pools with flumes/fun pools

Are there any in central Scotland? Having spent the week in Whinfell Centre Parcs the kids are dying to go somewhere with water rides, wave machines etc. I remember going somewhere as a kid but don’t recall where it was! Leith Waterworld sadly gone now and of course the flumes at the Commie are sorely missed! Any ideas?

Not sure if I would say the Mariner pool is refurbished, it’s looking old! There is a new-ish soft play which is great for younger kids though.

You need to book a slot at the Mariner. It's difficult to get them - they only open 5 days in advance and go really quickly.

Was at Time Capsule at the weekend - just as good as center parcs pool. Rapids, wave machine, 2 flumes, 1x 2 person rubber ring flume, cascade slides. We got 90 mins, which was good as restricted numbers so not busy and straight on the slides with minimal/no queues but could have still done with an extra 30 mins. Water was nice and warm as well. Kids had a great time. We struggled to book as phone lines busy but I sent a message through the chat function and they replied with another number to call. PM if you want the number.

We went to Sandcastles in Blackpool last October because there is no decent leisure pool in Scotland really. Sad. There is another one near Stoke on Trent which we may visit one of these days. Dundee is our closest experience but yes ridiculously the water slides and wave pool not open...DUE TO COVID. Utter BS.

And that is what is bizarre ...how can a leisure pool with water slides be open in Coatbridge but closed in Dundee because of Covid?! It's utter utter madness
