Hairdressers in Edinburgh

Looking for recommendations for hairdressers. I know Charlie Miller gets really good feedback but I had my hair cut there six months ago and I wasn't blown away. Their prices are ridiculously high too. I just want a cut, no colour. If you do go to CM who do you go to?

I use Keith at Urban Hair on Howe Street

Lisa at Wilson Allen Stockbridge. Used to be at CM holy corner.

I use Hazel at Hair by Hazel on William Street. I’ve only used her for 8 years now.

Bruce Masefield at Bruce Masefield. Great haircuts and lovely and central too for public transport.

Louise at Connolly on Howe Street is fab!

Also Wilson Allen in Stockbridge.

Ah I go to Charlie Miller's but I've been going for years and have stuck with the same hairdresser. Which branch did you go to out of interest? I have had one haircut in 20+ years that I didn't love from CM - my usual hairdresser was off sick and I went with the replacement ...

I went to south st Andrew st . I picked someone in the lower price range and maybe that was my mistake. Who do you go to @NotSoLongGoodbye?

I asked a stranger once where she got her hair cut. She said Charlie Miller. Her hair was amazing. However most of the stylists charge £60 plus for a cut only!

Charlie Miller- Stafford Street. Been going there for years for colour to hide grey and -until I grew it out over lockdown- a perfect bob. I'm still going for the colour but have grown hair to shoulder length.

The colour is amazing and really natural looking.

I now avoid the chains as I don’t like how they treat their staff. Try Teagan or Alex at the Gloss House opposite the Lyceum theatre off Lothian Road. Young women who have started their own business and both great.
