And we don't know about it or are ED council just sticking in another random in-service day for the 5th May next year!Wink

So far it is down as having schools closed

May Day Monday 2 May
In-service day Thursday 5 May

May weekend
Friday 27 May to Monday 30 May (Inclusive)

But what about the 4 day platinum jubilee weekend in June? The second may bank holiday is being moved to the 2nd June with an extra bank holiday on the 3rd.

I would rather the two mid term days, plus the in service day plus the June bank holidays all rolled into one glorious June week off, which let's face it is normally when summer happens in Scotland.

Anyone with me?

But that would require some joined up thinking wouldn't it Grin

Passing you a spoon for the thread title GrinWink
Only one day off in May currently showing for Stirling schools. Nothing in June as we’d expect so close to end of school year.

Interesting split already on that end of May BH, not everyone in Scotland takes that anyway, prob the same will apply to June date if it’s shifted🤷‍♀️

does ED use schools for polling stations? if so are probably using the in service day on 5th May to cover the local elections...

ResilienceWanker · 03/06/2021 14:54

Whahhhh?! Have I missed Indyref 2 then? Or is that set for the autumn, and then again for every 6 months thereafter until we get the right answer?!

Next council elections are 5 May 2022 - so all perfectly above board Smile

It does. Although it’s not all schools. This time it was a school closure where relevant, not an inset day.

Where are you seeing it, OP? It’s not on the term dates on their website.
