Scottish Weddings, Any Idea How Things Are Looking For August?

We are due to be at a friend’s wedding in Scotland in August, postponed from last year. We are wondering whether to offer to drop out if numbers are still likely to be limited, we would be travelling from the South of England and are reaching the point of having to decide so that we can book travel and accommodation.

Has there been any hint on changes to the rules and numbers permitted etc? Many thanks for any help.

Depends where it is. Glasgow is still in level 3 so not everything has opened back up yet.

50 at the moment, potentially shifting upwards as soon as June but the problem is that specific areas could be put into/left in level 3 or even stricter as the SG do have a different approach to UKG...

It’s really difficult to know what to do, having looked at those regulations I am wondering if the couple themselves will consider putting it off again till next year. They are in a more rural area, but they will have guests from other areas that might still be under tighter restrictions and travel from England might be difficult.

Thank you everyone for your comments.
