Bars - booking 2 hour slots...

Are we allowed to book more than one 2 hour slot - a 2nd one consecutively to give a 4 hour period? Is there an overall policy about this or is it down to the venue etc?

The venues I have been looking at all seem to stick to 2 hour slots and don't permit back to back bookings. My next day out features no spontaneity! So might be something in the licensing regs. Not sure how walk ins are treated though 🤷🏻‍♀️

It's a tricky one! I imagine they are hoping there will be less general drunkeness if there is a 2 hour limit, but this could actually prompt people to start a pub crawl of 2 hour slots in different venues, which compared to sitting quietly in one venue for 3-4 hours, is probably worse Covid-wise.

Not sure how it will change when indoors open or if this is standard but I had a 2 hour slot in a beer garden and we asked if they ask space for us to stay but they said they aren't allowed to let people stay over the 2 hours.
