I watched a bit of the swearing in of MSPs today, and the election of Alison Johnstone to the PO position.

It was great to hear/see so many languages today, and the increased diversity of Parliament is a wonderful thing.

I wonder how Alison will get one - I'm interested that she's a Green, since there's never been a Green PO before.

Also, 28 No, 2 Abstain, 1 Spoiled paper - 31 in total. Wonder if they were all from the same party?

Great article on the diversity of the parliament. Of course, it's still not perfect but they're certainly moving in the right direction.
