Has anyone else 40 plus in West Lothian not received their vaccine date? Feels like I’m the only one!

@TheMShip I called yesterday and there is no first dose appointment booked for me in the system! I’m on the system but have no vaccine date.

My DP is 45 and got his letter yesterday just.

TheMShip · 09/05/2021 07:18

Oh no @VaccineWonder I thought everyone 40+ in the Lothians had a date. I'm 42 and had mine yesterday.

ResilienceWanker · 09/05/2021 10:42

I'm in Edinburgh, 44 and not heard anything. DH 45 got his letter this week for an appointment this coming Wednesday (nowhere near where we live, but that seems normal). It seems lothians is a bit slower than the rest of the country. I've not heard of anyone near us under 48 having had it yet.

I'm 43 in Ayrshire and Arran and haven't got a date yet either. Postcode lottery!

VaccineWonder · 09/05/2021 11:07

Yeh In West Lothian 40 plus letters have gone out with the appointments next week. Just wondering why I’m not getting mine... was hoping that someone else from West Lothian was in the same position. I’m in the same post code but older than some that have received the letter.

It's probably best to call, they were very efficient on the phone. We're Edinburgh, but think it's health board based.

emmathedilemma · 09/05/2021 11:51

Im lothians and got mine over the phone last week but it’s not for another couple of weeks and no letter yet. Letters seem to be arriving about a week before and a friend who’s doing the vaccines said they’re not sending them out with more notice because they can change. Quite a few people who are younger than me have them booked sooner so I’ve no idea how they’re working through them!

TheMShip · 09/05/2021 14:26

If you phone you can get your login for the online system and look for a better date/location yourself. I'm 42, DH 41, Edinburgh, we were done yesterday early morning at Bathgate even though our initial appointments were on the 17th. (Pleased about doing it on a Saturday too, as we've both had a pretty rough night of flu style side effects and are still badly fatigued today.)

Marmalady75 · 10/05/2021 22:26

I know of at least 2 people in the 40-50 age group in WL who haven’t had a letter yet. Don’t fret, it’ll come.

VaccineWonder · 14/05/2021 18:56

Hope you are both feeling better @TheMShip

I’m still waiting and there is still no appointment in the system for me. I’m told to wait patiently. It’s a bit 🤨 when all your neighbours 40 plus have had it and loads of younger people in your area!
