Thinking of selling 3 bed flat in Eastwood, nr Mansewood.

I own a former LA flat in Eastwood, South Side of Glasgow. It has been rented out for a few years, and my tenants have given notice - moving out in June.

Only last night I was thinking of selling - was going to give tenants first refusal, but now will be able to put on open market. Will wait till they’ve moved before viewings.

Can anyone give me an idea of what the market is like just now? It’s a 3 bed flat, which sits on road parallel to Thornliebank Road at the Mansewood end. The ones which usually, although not so much now, have flowers on the balconies. Top, 2nd floor, and end terrace.

Or anyone here looking for a flat like that?

Yes I’m looking for a flat like that, i know the area well and i live nearby.

Do you mean Barrmill Rd or Hillside Rd? Or on the Eastwood side like Fyvie Rd ?

It's on Fyvie. And is 1st floor flat - not 2nd, sorry! Very open outlook at back and front. Living room with dual aspect as end terrace.

Am getting it valued on Tuesday.

So its one of the T blocks in the middle ? Or down at the end near the play park ( near Bonnyrigg ) ?

Yes I’d be interested. I offered on one in Fieldhead but no luck. I looked at one on Barrmill but it was a bit dark because it’s north facing and the close wasn’t great.

I don't know what these went for - I’d guess mid to high 80s, it depends a lot on the condition. Some have very dated bathroom / kitchen and electric heating, others are walk in condition. So it’s hard to judge unless you have seen photos - you cant tell from just the sold prices on Rightmove or Scotlis.

I’m sure the estate agent will know.

They are good flats though and even the third bedroom is a decent size, in some flats they are cupboards.

It's at the north end of Fyvie - end terrace with window in gable end looking over the bungalows next door.

Gas central heating.

It's currently rented out through Clyde and a valuer from their Shawlands office is going out on Tuesday to do a valuation - so not just a paper exercise.

I'll let you know what they say.

YY I know exactly where that is, near garvock drive.

I also know the Clyde Shawlands office staff , I think Jeff or David might be doing their valuations . They are very good, they have sold a lot of properties in that area over the last year and they will give you an accurate assessment.

Have you looked on Scotlis to see sold prices ?
