Anyone know what’s going on with nursery funding?

So I know it was postponed by a year due to COVID...the last update I can see is this from www.gov.scot/policies/early-education-and-care/early-learning-and-childcare/

“The new date of August 2021 has now been agreed with local authority umbrella group COSLA. The Scottish Government will pass legislation in early 2021 so that this duty will come into force from August 2021.”

Have I missed it?

I've had my funded place confirmed. It's going ahead.

hi @StarryEyeSurprise which council area are you in? (Sorry don’t feel you need to answer! Just interested! I’m Edinburgh and nursery said they are waiting on council to confirm)

We already have the full 1140hrs in Perth & Kinross. I think Edinburgh City is phased - some settings already have the hours in place and the rest will follow by August this year.

Aberdeen City here and it’s been confirmed as going ahead. DD is in private nursery and they’ve confirmed here they apply on our behalf. Boost all round!

I'm Edinburgh and we have been 1140 throughout the year. But I know other settings are still on bubbles and twice a week. You never know when things will be confirmed.

I'm in Edinburgh too and my daughter has just (last three weeks or so) has a 1140 hours place confirmed for August. Each setting is determining how they will meet the requirements (we're getting a full year place, another school nearby is doing forest school days) so it will absolutely depend on the school you've applied to for what you will get.

I'm in Glasgow and we've had 1140 since August.

I know some places have started sending out their offers.

East Lothian seems to vary by setting. None of the non 1140 settings seem to know what is going to happen in August

I'm in east Dunbartonshire and I think we're getting 940.
