Missing cat - East Ren

Hi to any MNers in Clarkston. Our (mainly) house cat got out yesterday (Friday). He gets supervised access to our garden which has cat proof fencing but he is very agile and has found a weak point.

He has got out before and as we are out with him it is usually easy to get him back in.

This time, DD's BF had let the cats into the garden without me knowing (I was upstairs WFH, DD was out at her work). BF popped into house and agile cat then got over fence.

BF followed the cat at speed but cat was a bit afraid of being chased so bolted out of our development into surrounding street/gardens.

We have been out day and night calling him , have put flyers through doors in surrounding streets and called in at houses to ask to see in sheds/garages. No sign of him. Have put up some posters on local walks and have phoned Vets. Cat is microchipped, but no collar.
He is a very distinctive cat, all over white, short haired and slim so hopefully someone will spot him. He's 4 years old and pretty smart.

We are distraught. He seems to have vanished into thin air. Hoping for his return. Any local MNers, please message me with any sightings. I can send a photo if anyone PMs me.

Thanks for reading.

Did you find him? I'm not in your part of Scotland but bumping for you.

Yes, we did find him, 5 days after he went missing. He was literally a few m away from where he was last seen, hiding silently under a deck, and hidden by a thick hedge.
He's on the mend but was very scared.

People knowledgeable about cat behaviour said that he would go to ground not far from where he went missing and they were spot on. Just shows the importance of really looking, on hands and knees with torches if necessary!
