My son is due to start here this year and I would love to hear opinions on it. There are no inspectorate reports available and it would be great to get a sense of what it's like and if your wee ones are happy there.

My children go here. They like it and most of the teachers.

It’s not the best in terms of pushing education in the last few years. I’ve been a bit disappointed. We do extra work at home.

Over all it’s a nice school but it can be quite cliquey.

New head has been there a year but the whole time he has been dealing with the pandemic so I don’t think he’s managed to put his own stamp on it yet.

Thanks so much for your reply. I've heard things about their behavioural policy that have left me a bit Shock Namely using a naughty step/list. That's my main concern at the moment. It's so hard to find out any info so I'm really grateful for your response!

They have used a step system 1-4 where the child’s name goes on a step, not the child.
Each step has a different outcome. To be fair it does work, step 1 is like a warning and most children don’t go beyond that.
I think they are moving away a bit from that to a more positive behaviour approach though.

Really glad to hear that, I'm more of a fan of the second approach! You've been so helpful, thanks
