I can't believe that she has gotten off with it, somewhat ironically the proverbial "Scot free". Not that as a Scot I actually feel free. I despair at what my country has become, and the deeply horrible people running it.

James Hamilton has a track record of 'believing' the word of FMs. This from the Press & Journal:
"James Hamilton was asked by the Welsh Government in 2017 to investigate if its first minister, Carwyn Jones, had lied to the Welsh Assembly about bullying allegations within the government.
Mr Hamilton cleared Mr Jones of breaching the ministerial code and said his account to the Assembly was “accurate and truthful, and not misleading”.
However, the former Welsh First Minister would announce his resignation to the Welsh Labour conference just five days later, after being left scarred by the scandal.

Why would an elected MSP even write that tweet

He gets paid to represent us and he tweets stuff like that

Is he mad or just spiteful and stupid

littlbrowndog · 22/03/2021 22:13

That’s the Alyn smith tweet

IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 22/03/2021 22:14

The tweets thing really annoys me. Surely sitting ministers should have a social media for work policy. Fine when it's campaign time but not when they are members of government. It's hideous

littlbrowndog · 22/03/2021 22:15

Tweet here he thought was funny. He’s an elected MSP

Exactly what you've said here. I despair.
littlbrowndog · 22/03/2021 22:16

Och he’s an mp

I mean, that note on the redactions is potentially somewhat helpful to anyone attempting jigsaw identification.

Ianrankinfan · 22/03/2021 22:41

That’s interesting Satisically Thanks

Ianrankinfan · 22/03/2021 22:44

Oops spelling. Statistically .. sorry

If they've not successfully completed one of the other 843 jigsaws already Hmm

I'm definitely getting a sense on twitter that the 'relief' & triumphalism from sturgeon loyalists isn't going down well at all. Mike Russell's efforts in trying to chivvy people along with 'moving on' is getting short shrift & there's still a lot of people who were hanging on to try and effect change within the SNP have had enough.

It still shocks me that sturgeon took time out for that awful video for the handful of abusive twats causing havoc within the SNP, and sits back as seasoned party activists who hung on are quitting.

At some point, someone within the SNP has to grasp the nettle and face up to the disaster their party has become.

If only the opposition parties weren't also prone to self sabotage, we might get to having a decent & healthy(ish) political landscape.

TheShadowyFeminist · 22/03/2021 23:17

843 jigsaws

I think there's about 2% of Scottish population left who are oblivious. Everyone else is kidding on they can't do jigsaws 😁

derxa · 23/03/2021 06:15

The English left love Nicola. I tweeted about what a shit show this is. Apparently I live in Russia according to some people. Grin

StatisticallyChallenged · 23/03/2021 07:35

I am increasingly suspicious that the leak from the committee was SNP. It makes sense, especially if they already knew (as I suspect) that Hamilton wasn't going to rule against her. Set it up beautifully for "this is partisan, wait for the independent report" and then basically burying the committee's conclusion.

StatisticallyChallenged · 23/03/2021 08:32

Committee report apparently out. My internet is ropey so struggling to find

sessell · 23/03/2021 08:33

Agree. The SNP are the only ones who would benefit from a leak and to get on the front foot, rather than back foot, in calling it out as partisan.

Holyrood harassment committee report confirms its view that Nicola Sturgeon misled committee & therefore parliament & is potential breach of ministerial code

BBCradio Today 4 is giving John Swinney a very tough time. General tone is incredulity that NS could be forgetful and how serious the new report is. No mention by either that it's partisan.

Blurberoo · 23/03/2021 08:41

But will they pay it any heed?

OP posts:
WouldBeGood · 23/03/2021 08:48

Saw that @Blurberoo.

Timing is everything, isn’t it as all the front pages are with the Hamilton one 🤷🏻‍♀️

ATieLikeRichardGere · 23/03/2021 08:51

This one is a lot longer so it’s going to take a while to digest as well.
