@WouldBeGood - yea, you noticed the difference! Some don’t

WaxOnFeckOff · 03/03/2021 22:43

I just read that there's been 7,000 new SNP members join today and 300 new members have joined the pro Indy Believe in Scotland group (it normally averages 500 new members a week)

Source/evidence?

StarryEyeSurprise · 03/03/2021 22:43

@WaxOnFeckOff

That poster doesn't even look at policies. Don't I? Can you provide some evidence of that?

I'd guess not...

Did you not say that before? You just vote for whoever will likely beat the SNP. Not a policy based decision.
LexMitior · 03/03/2021 22:43

As has just been demonstrated

littlbrowndog · 03/03/2021 22:44

That’s awesome starry

I don't believe I did but happy to look at your evidence.

WouldBeGood · 03/03/2021 22:47

There are allegations on Twitter that some of the “new members” are not waft they seem.

I was just wondering if there were any of the other faction on here. Not just pro Salmond SNP but anti the anti women stuff.

ShowmetheSnowdrops · 03/03/2021 22:48

7,000 new members today. Impressive.

Could it be the Central Bureau of Misinformation has struck again ?
To quote Nicola Sturgeon ‘I don’t accept that’

Really? Ok. That's fine, I don't feel the need to trawl for evidence.

You don't need to.
WouldBeGood · 03/03/2021 22:50

To be fair, if you’re not pro Indy why would you vote SNP?

Plenty of people don’t search Tory policies before dismissing them, for example.

Anyhow.... we shall see what tomorrow brings.

WaxOnFeckOff · 03/03/2021 22:51

No it might be fine by you, but it's not fine by me. You've just randomly said something about me with no evidence and I'm not happy that you have. It says more about you than me though.

StarryEyeSurprise · 03/03/2021 22:53

It could be wrong, I just read it. I would say you or WaxOn could join the group and read it yourself but I don't think you'd like that.

Any pro indys that are interested- Believe in Scotland is a fantastic group. Run by Gordon Macintyre Kemp. Very strict admin. Great discussion.

Well starry has said that she just read it so unless it was a leaflet through her door and she doesn't having scanning facilities or a camera phone etc, I thought she might just be able to attach the link to the document?
WaxOnFeckOff · 03/03/2021 22:54

Do we have any information on how many left today or yesterday?

kurtrussellsbeard · 03/03/2021 22:55

@WaxOnFeckOff

And yes, I will vote for anyone who is most likely to beat the SNP. I'm not sure why you have a problem with that? I'm allowed to vote for who I want or indeed not at all.
There's the evidence surely. You've quite literally said it there.

If you're just voting tactically to oust the SNP, totally fair enough btw, then you're not necessarily picking the party with the policies that suit you best.

WouldBeGood · 03/03/2021 22:56

I follow quite a lot of Indy supporters and random stuff so I can see what people are thinking rather than an echo chamber.

Snarking about how people vote is unacceptable. Really not on.

Oh I actually missed this until I saw Kurt's comment. So we're in agreement, great.
WaxOnFeckOff · 03/03/2021 23:04

@Motheroffourdragons

Westminster really has very little to do with day to day life in Scotland for me

That's incredibly parochialShock. Scotland is not an independent country, you vote for your MP in the UK government. You ought to pay attention to what is happening!

Not really. I do know who my MP is, he's a SNP guy who was flown into the constituency and has done bugger all.

I think you've said you don't currently live in Scotland? That is completely not an issue but you may therefore not really feel the fact that day to day stuff that affects people is in the gift of the SG and therefore they have far more of an effect on life here.

How do you know that I don't pay attention to what is happening - patronising much?

WaxOnFeckOff · 03/03/2021 23:06

No we are not in agreement. You said "That poster doesn't even look at policies*

I agree that I will vote against the SNP.

I'm not sure why? If a poster puts out how they vote and why then people can comment on it.

I vote SNP because I want independence. To criticise that, and believe me I've been criticised, isn't a snark, it's just an opinion.

Why would it not be on?

WaxOnFeckOff · 03/03/2021 23:07

If you're just voting tactically to oust the SNP, totally fair enough btw, then you're not necessarily picking the party with the policies that suit you best.

Not necessarily. The biggest issue to me is independence so voting for another party is picking the policy that suits me best.

OldRailer · 03/03/2021 23:07

It is not SNP itself which has reduced any vote to being simply for or against a further referendum?

OldRailer · 03/03/2021 23:08

I'm really confused now!

Do members get to vote her out? Is it like the labour leadership thing where people joined to wreck the vote. Think that was the Miliband brothers wasn't it?
