Where do Edinburgh independent schools 'post' offers?

I am expecting my son's results today and the previous correspondence says that offers will be 'posted' today. Does that mean through the mail? On the school website? Or via email? Does anyone know? Thanks!

I don't know about Edinburgh, but experience elsewhere is that yes they mean sending by actual mail. There will be an actual contract to sign and return. Thick envelope with lots of bumf means offer.

Thin envelope might still mean offer, as a (very few) schools send just an outcome letter (bumf to follow) but that's more likely to be a waiting list or 'no thanks' letter.

Our DC received their offers from Edinburgh schools by post.
