Was this Ian Blackford’s decision or from some other pressure in the party?

As if there aren’t already enough divisions.

JC wanted to stand in May - they made it impossible for her to do so

She was one of the few SNP politicians i liked ( in as much as one can like any politician). But crossing the Fuhrer was always going to end in tears. NS is a power hungry control freak who will brook no argument. Praying the Salmond case is her downfall.

I don't think its as simple as the trans issue. Joanna is know to brief against the party and individuals and no political party will stand for that. Shes very capable but acts more as a lawyer than a politician. She’s made few friends on political circles. I used to really like her but now I’m unsure of her motives. I actually used to know her many years ago.

I don't think it's the trans issue. I agree with what you say, except I don't think a lawyer should be going down the route calling for illegal and unconstitutional UDI.

Her comment yesterday about Westminster being irrelevant was either grandstanding or supremely silly.

I used to know her many years ago too. She's absolutely not someone I would vote for just because of who she is.
