Thinking of moving there. Does anyone have any advice?
We will be buying c £200,000

Mid Calder is lovely if you're looking for somewhere close to amenities but that still has a villagey/community vibe.

It's like a lovely little pocket where you're close to everything, without feeling you are.

The primary school is very good - small classes, lovely teaching team.
You're only a short enough walk away from Livingston centre for all your shopping needs.

I preferred it to West/East Calder when house hunting.

We are moving from Edinburgh to Calderwood soon. It located in between Edinburgh and Livingston. It seems like a good community. You can have a look.
