Questions relating to Scotland - Kids

I'm English married to a Scot. We embrace both cultures. For Burns Night we invite over two families from my DC class. Both families have Scottish mothers and English fathers. We embrace all things Scottish as part of our children's heritage.
Clearly this year, we can't all get together but I was hoping to make a Kahoots quiz with a Scottish theme for all the children (2 in each family rating from 9 - 13) to do on Saturday afternoon.
I was wondering if anyone could give me a questions with the correct answer and 3 incorrect ones. My knowledge of Scotland is ok - my family spend at least 3 weeks a year there and have travelled across it extensively - but I wondered if real locals could come up with questions to help and inspire me? Please Scotsnetters - help me out!

Some decent questions on here, might be easier to pick out some that you think they'd get and although there is only one answer given, if you say the numbers of the questions you want to use, we could come up with 3 alternatives (or you could do that yourself Smile )

Ah it was just a quick google - there were many other options. I've had to make up quite a few quizzes for team meetings so had to start googling and pulling questions from all over as I ran out of things from board games I have in the house :o

What about some Scots word translations. Give the word and some options?

flindorama · 19/01/2021 22:04

How about
How many cities are there in Scotland? 7 is the answer, easy to put other numbers into Kahoot.

Which song by Burns is sung around the world at New Year? Just add 3 of his other works as options. Bit easy though.

What was Greyfriars Bobby? A dog, plus 3 other animals.

The River Doon flows through which county in Scotland? Ayrshire, Lanarkshire, Perth&Kinross or East Lothian. (Answer - Ayrshire. I like this one as the Brig O'Doon is the setting of Tam O'Shanter by Burns).

My 7 year old has a lot of Scottish Topic work this week so I stole a few questions from there!

Could you do a map with place names blanked out and they have to match the location to the point on the map? You could do it with cities / towns, lochs, islands.
