Anybody in South Lanarkshire?

I'm wondering how the roads are? Specifically the rural roads around Biggar area?

Relocating to Dunoon , Argyl and Bute.
Hi I'm retired and thinking of relocating to Sandbank Dunoon. Can anyone recommend living here or give me advice. Any pointers would be appreciated. Thank you

start a new post @Carolmacewen you've responded to the question above and your topic is totally irrelevant. It's a lovely area and very cheap house prices with fairly easy access to Glasgow by road / rail. I found Dundoon a bit "dead" when I was on holiday but maybe if you live there you find things to do. It was the quietest high street I've ever been down on a Saturday morning and there didn't seem to be much in the way of cafes or restaurants.

I'm in south Lanarkshire (near hamilton) and it's an ice rink everywhere. Main roads seem to be fine but other roads still haven't been gritted.

Thats what I was worried about. Nearly came off the road a week ago, and am thinking its gotten worse since then. Any idea when its expected to improve?

I'm in North Lanarkshire but live v near S Lanarkshire and it's not meant to get warmer until around Sunday. The snow from last week has frozen over and hasn't thawed at all, plus v foggy here too today. Due more snow tonight into tomorrow.

I've been out today to get a load of sheep licks. Journey was horrible due to fog. Snow due tomorrow. Poor old sheep

Oh jeez that sounds awful still (or worse!) My friend had said there's been fog too. I will keep an eye on the weather forecast, but fingers crossed things improve soon!

I'm south lanarkshire, near Hamilton. Our main roads are all fine but side streets and paths are line an ice rink
