Wonder what prompted the change of action

About time.

Lidlfix · 04/01/2021 18:43

Good.

As I was saying in another thread, I wonder what key evidence they could have unearthed THREE months on. In all honesty it sounds rather ridiculous, unless they changed some regulation retrospectively. At this juncture it sounds more like a vendetta than anything else, and NOT a good use of public money.
THREE months have gone by, not three hours, which what would have been needed.

Good, but confused.

I thought she escaped prosecution before because she made the journey a few days before the new laws came in. I don't know if the reckless conduct is a different law that they have managed to charge her with.

Bloodypunkrockers · 04/01/2021 18:54

Confused at the delay too

But glad she has been arrested.

RaspberryCoulis · 04/01/2021 18:58

Arrested, questioned and charged.

Not just arrested.

"A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We can confirm that officers today arrested and charged a 60-year-old woman in connection with alleged culpable and reckless conduct.

"This follows a thorough investigation by Police Scotland into an alleged breach of coronavirus regulations between 26 and 29 September 2020.

"A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal and we are unable to comment further."

Should have resigned at the time, but decided to ride it out for her salary/expenses. Loathsome do as I say not as I do types do my head in.

WaxOnFeckOff · 04/01/2021 19:19

I wonder if they managed to trace some people she'd been in contact with when she was flouting the rules who got infected? Therefore evidence that what she did actually had an effect?

A bit like someone admitting they were swinging a hammer about which although bad didn't result in any apparent injury so letting it go without charge....and then finding someone with a hammer wound to the head matching the one used in the original offence.

Sounds the case @WaxOnFeckOff

Opportune timing Hmm

Some good at least, would've had more sympathy had she resigned. Idiot.

LemonBreeland · 07/01/2021 10:15

I felt the timing of Scotland going into a lockdown was a little coincidental. It shouts, follow the rules of lockdown or there will be consequences.

Rosebud2005 · 10/01/2021 16:31

Took their time about it
