Vaccine/routine NHS procedures

I have two questions!

  1. Does anyone know what’s happening with the vaccine in Scotland? Is it the same one dose scenario as England now?
  1. Does anyone know if this latest lockdown is affecting routine NHS procedures, particularly in Glasgow? I’ve been waiting a year

@WeAllHaveWings thanks for that.

I’m feeling a bit desperate as I’ve been waiting so long.. eventually found out not malignant in December after a year, but it’s very debilitating and scheduled for procedure at last

A friend who works in a hospital in Glasgow says routine surgical procedures are still going ahead for now.

All the best to you, I have a relative who has been waiting for an operation for almost a year now due to covid delays, he's in a lot of pain so I appreciate how tough the wait is.

Covid has caused delays in lots of routine areas.

Sadly ppl will die from missed diagnoses. I do believe in cartain areas ppl could be seen. But it seems to be a blanket ban.

@gotyerhat hope your relative is treated soon.

Thanks @Torvean32. I’m lucky in that my thing turned out not to be malignant, lots of people won’t be so lucky. But I’ve had a miserable year with it, so fingers crossed
