I've name changed for this.
Had a wee look over on that page tonight as I have a ( possible ex) friend who's really active there and shares things all the time.
There is a post on tonight where people are actively threatening to take on the police as they have " weapons to match them ". I get we are all scunnered but I'm really worried by it. It has nothing to do with keeping schools open or protecting children!

An MSP has put on his twitter that he's received 40 Call To Action emails and does he really need to explain why no parties in Scotland believe that schools should be open fully this week.

They'll all end up blocked. This mass emailing every msp doesn't work.

It surely must have an affect on people who need help being able to reach their MSP.

On Twitter they say they are planning to issue surveys to parents to detail the remote learning their dc are given. So they can highlight where remote learning is failing their children.
Wonder what they'd do if the surveys showed remote learning was as good as it could be and pupils were getting on well?

I must admit I joined that group when blended learning was proposed as I was really distressed by the prospect at the time, lockdown having had a serious impact on my daughter's education and my own mental health.

I left after a month when it became clear those people were batshit.

For months and months school teachers and staff were mocked and derided when calling for safety measures in schools. School teachers and staff warned this would happen given that this is a highly infectious disease but we were told stop complaining and whining. Why do you think your so special and so much worse. What a crying shame our health service is now at crisis point and schools will be shut in a chaotic way. Well Scotland is at least more ordered than the English schools right now.

I wish they would just stop and reflect on their actions before launching in to attack again. Teachers and school staff are parents too. We are going through the same shit as everyone else. Headteachers are acting on information at the same time we are all hearing it. It's bloody hard and they have the best interests of the children at heart. it's a situation that absolutely no one wants to be in. We need to work together. Our children's education is vital but we have to be realistic. We have to accept that what is going on in the community has been impacted by schools being opened in the way they were.

Please screenshot and save anything you see that names schools or worse individuals. This is harassment and there is a committed band on Twitter who will take this forward. Even if it's not you or your school grabbing the screenshots before they disappear is really important.

Is it the Us for Themmers who are responsible for the Wee Nippy and Krankie Lookalike comments on any Nicola Sturgeon or SNP thread? It would certainly explain a lot if it is.

Plenty of posters on this thread are no fans of both SNP/FM and UfT.

But I am known for my avoidance of political stuff so don't linger too long in threads which head that direction.

I prefer to be united against a group that threatens violence, humiliation and supports some seriously crazy shit.

I don't think there are many us for themmers at all on the tiers threads. I read one post the other day that made me wonder but it wasn't a username I recognised so not a regular poster.

He just said.. 'In regards to children wondering why they went in today but can't tomorrow, it's because we realise how important each day is in your education. ' That made me belly laugh. Who writes his speeches?! Literally a spitting image gag.

Thanks goodness I teach in Scotland. Our poor colleagues down south. HOW can you sort home learning the night before?!?!
