Hi my child who is in primary has Autism and we are planning to buy a house detached (considering the meltdowns) to avoid unnecessary trouble in semi detached as I think sometimes the noise can be heard due to one wall in between.

We have found a likeable house in newton mearns which has mearns primary as catchment. I would like to know how the support is for kids with ASN in mearns and the other schools ?

I'm happy with my current school but as the houses in our area is not like we want , we are exploring more options in east ren .

-asn support experience in mearns primary, st cadoc, crookfur primary?

  • Any good areas in east ren for kids with ASN ? With Activities, good support in school.
Many thanks smile

Try contacting PACER on Facebook, they are a group of East Ren parents who meet to give and receive support on children with ASN and might have some info for you

Hi
Did you find a good school? I’d be grateful to hear your experience as I’m considering moving my daughter due to lack of support in her current east Renfrewshire primary school thanks Smile

What year is your dc in at primary? I find that high school is a much better fit for my ds. He is much calmer and happier. I think it is more predictable for him and he also prefers not sitting in the same classroom all day. I hope things improve for your dc.
