Relocating to Crieff

Hello
I am considering relocating to Crieff from the south of England.
I have 2 children (5 & 7)
I would love to hear about other young families' experience of the area and does anyone have any current/recent experience of the local schools?
Thank you!

I don't live there but I would love to. Crieff is gorgeous.

I don’t have any experience of the schools but if you’re going to be in Crieff itself I think for primary school you have the choice of Crieff Primary School or St Dominics if you want catholic provision. I would image that most children attend their catchment school but Perth council shd be able to provide info on placement requests.

Secondary schools will be Crieff High School or St Johns Academy in Perth (again if you want catholic provision).

There are a few different options if you want private education the most obvious is Morrison’s Academy which is in Crieff and goes from nursery through to end if secondary.

@SE22DOM
NCed for this post as not keen on outing myself (though I still might to be fair).

I grew up in Crieff - it's a very picture perfect town and has quite a nice high street. However, if you've got kids who are keen to be independent I'd say unless they make close mates with people in Crieff, the travel from Crieff to anywhere takes a long time - I remember taking buses to Perth which did feel like an age and were often a bit shaky when it came to reliability.

Also re; schools I went to MA and left a few years ago. All I'm going to say is - very middle class, very stiff upper lip, pretty big drug problem. I would advocate NOT to go to Morrison's as the teaching is also going down the pan a bit (though of course there are a few gems).
All personal opinion though, clearly.

Ultimately it's up to you I just wanted you to be aware of some of the downsides, as someone who lived and grew up there. Hope this helped at all. I can DM you if you want any more info. x
