Birthday Parties

Advice needed here please, I can't figure out what's allowed.

DS turning 10 in a few weeks. His class are all treated as a bubble. There have been a couple of parties at a private venue just for kids in that bubble (pre change to rule of 6).
Question is can I get a group of his pals together for a wee party given that they're all in the same class bubble AND under 12 so not counted in the rule of 6? I don't want to put anyone at risk obviously, but I would like to celebrate his birthday.
Thanks for any help.

No, at the moment it's still 2 households and the kids are not counted within those 2 households.

I think you can still do an organized activity, like football, if the organizers observe Covid rules. No food or cake I guess.

Although they aren't counted in the group of six, it can only be 2 households as they are counted as that.

We've cancelled my son's 18th 😢 but it's better to be safe than sorry.

No you cant sorry. Its just 2 household. And things like football are proper organused foitball not indoor games at a party.

WeAllHaveWings · 18/09/2020 09:04

No sorry, not this year. There are lots of ways to have a celebration as a family instead.

Thanks all, that's a lot clearer. I'll try to plan something fun at home with family.
Sorry about your son's 18th @Groovee, so many missed milestones this year.

2 household limit still applies (although children not counted within the 6).

I've had to cancel 2 of my dc small parties.

Yep, thanks. Yeah I had to cancel my other kids party earlier this year too. Sad but needs must.
