New meet up

Hi
I have noticed that all the meet up groups are really old.
Am new to the area with my teenage daughter and now some of the restrictions are lifting wondered if it is possible to set up a new meet up place or group?
Maybe a local park or pub garden
As I am not familiar with the area does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm not one for meeting up and don't have a teenage girl either but if you give a bit of a steer then maybe there will be others looking for a meet up.

I think you will have posted in the correct board for where you are but that info hasn't followed when the post has been moved Smile

Have a look about Scotsnet and there is probably some helpful info. Maybe avoid some of the busy recent threads as we are all fighting! Grin

We are mainly all a decent supportive bunch on here, we just don't all happen to agree on everything. I take that as a good thing though!

Scotsnet is in "other stuff" though not "otbt" it's just a section on its own Confused
I'm not in your area Op, and with the best will in the world I think you'll find it hard to get meet ups that are for a mum and a teenager. I think you need to look for separate things - a book group or exercise class or walkers group for you, some kind of activity or club for teenagers head into any park in the evening here and you'll find plenty And of course everything is limited and a bit weird just now, but it won't last forever. If you aren't already, search for Facebook groups for your immediate area you get a good sense of a place from that.

The OP originally posted in “local” and it came up as Brookfield , Scotland.
Another thing that might be good is to get in touch with a local choir or church.
