Hi fellow Scottish Mums!
I'm emailing on behalf of a University of Edinburgh research team currently investigating the impact that the COVID-19 lockdown has had on residents of Edinburgh and the Lothians. We’d like to know how life has changed as a result of the restrictions: what differences there have been to daily routines, work/education, and general well-being. Beyond completing a short survey, we ask participants to express themselves freely in the form of audio/video diaries, which can be made and submitted via smartphone. Participants can be of any age and of any background. If your children are old enough to talk about the lockdown and to read the survey questions, then they can contribute with your consent.
As a thank you we offer each participant £15, which can be paid either by bank transfer, as a voucher to support a local business, or can be paid directly to support a charitable organisation chosen by the participant. Participants who refer a friend to us can also receive £5 as a thank you, which can be paid in the same ways.
